Ah. Short. But really well-written. You described Touya's rise up the ranks of Go players really well. There's only so many ways by which you can make the reader feel that your character's a genius, but here everything, all the words, and the phrasing you used for each sentence, makes it very clear that Touya's a perfectionist, and very much dedicated to Go.

I'm glad I'm writing again actually---it feels very empty when I'm not. So hopefully, I'll be able to keep at it.

How about you? How's your original novel going? Are you also working now?

No real progress on either, I'm afraid. I've been writing down ideas as I'm getting them, trying to flesh out both worlds, but I'm still making more time for fanfiction.

And as for work - no, I haven't found a job that wouldn't give me too much grief yet. XP
