Part III
{can't keep safe what wants to break}

It’s the food of Witch Weekly’s gossip columnist for a solid three weeks; everyone’s waiting for the newly un-engaged Astoria Greengrass to be found in a compromising position in some dark corner of Knockturn with Draco Malfoy.
Ms. Greengrass has not so much fallen from grace as taken a headlong running ( Read more... )

omg I loved these so much ♥ sweet, romantic but real =) I love your characterizations of both Astoria and Draco. I never thought I'd read- and LIKE! het of all things! AND in HP which has always been an endless stream of S/R and H/D but oh wow did you provide a brilliant characterization of Draco and I love your Astoria.

This was amazing. I'm so sad that Draco/Astoria doesn't get more love in fanfiction, so this fic made me extremely happy.
Thank you so much for sharing.

This was beautiful! Phrases/words that really struck me through all 3 parts:

this girl is playing with a real Slytherin, she doesn’t even know manipulation
This just REALLY made me want to cackle, and so in character!

Ms. Greengrass has not so much fallen from grace as taken a headlong running leap into ignominy, should the reports of a romance with Draco Malfoy prove true, the newest wannabe Rita Skeeter writes in the oh-so-cleverly titled “DA to Death Eater?” One must wonder at her state of mind, or perhaps consider an inventory of the potion ingredients to be found in Malfoy Manor…This was just a perfect, perfect, perfect snapshot of Rita-Sketter-like journalism that I almost squeed ( ... )

I have to tell you, this is the most beautiful version of Draco Malfoy I have ever encountered. You have a stunning perception of who he is, beneath the name and behind the dignity and after all the smoke and shadows of the past have dissipated.

I've never read a Draco/Astoria fic before. And now I'm afraid to read any others for fear that I will be hugely disappointed by their difference from yours.

I can't begin to list the lines that I adored in this fic. You have a gift from writing and I hope you continue to explore it. But this line is what cemented my appreciation and proved to me that you know Draco better than any other fic writer I've seen:

Draco kneels before her (he hasn’t knelt since…a Malfoy should kneel only once in his life, only to one worthy of the name, he sees that now) and holds the ring up to her.

There's poetry in that, and perfection of an incredible degree. I love it. Thank you.
