YOu can see the cutscenes in youtube! Someone uploaded all of them, in a package. That way, you get to watch the pretty without actually playing.

You're gonna miss a few things (like Zack beating up Genesis clones with a beach umbrella then performing Aeris' limit break, which pits him in a patch of flowers and praying for health. All while wearing nothing but swimming trunks) but the essence is all there. :P

Also, while I largely support Zack/Aerith (I ship Cloud and Zack with a lot of people, het or slash. Not my fault Squeenix turned them into such whores anyway) , there are also lots of Zack/Cloud hints that make me squee, like Zack asking Cloud out to dinner, Zack's treat. :D
