Well, to be honest, it does seem like you handled it very well. Personally, I don't think you should let it bug you. And do you feel like you have to tell your bf about things like this or is it more of a cathardic thing for you?

Perhaps a little bit of both. I've just felt that it's always been best to at least let him be aware of it. I've felt like it's fair to him to know who approaches me, and I prefer it when he says the same to me. Of course I seem to handle the information better than him. >.

dude you handled it amazingly well. You didn't lead him on, you were polite and truthful...you should be really proud of yourself.
I don't really get why it's bothering you so much either, i mean you did the right thing and all that you could. did he just want to hang out as friends? do you feel better now that you have talked to eric?

Well, it did feel like there was a big weight lifted off my chest when I told him, but a different one just came right back on when I heard how stressed he sounded upon hearing it. I hate stressing him out and even asked him if he wanted me to stop telling him, but he said he prefered for me to tell him and stress out than not tell him and hear it from someone else later on.
