I just slept for twelve hours. Twelve straight hours. That's the longest I've ever fuckin slept. Ever.

On Friday, I received a call from Cenex casting; they wanted to know if I could work on a movie Monday and Tuesday. Seeing as how I would be home for break, I told 'em I'd be there.

Soo yeah, I called and checked the info box on Saturday, and found out I had a 5 AM call time to work in the movie Memoirs of a Geisha. I was to be an extra for one of the last scenes in the movie, some sumo wrestling thing.

On Sunday, Mom, Noel, Jamaal, Tito and I went to a comedy club to celebrate Noel's birthday. Mom bought us all tickets to see Jay Leno and a couple of his writers perform stand-up. Leno was okay, but my favorite was this guy named Jimmy Brogan, and not just because his name sounds like Josh Groban (har, har).

Ended up going to bed around 1:00 AM, which was bad, because I only got two hours of sleep, and I had a looong day ahead of me.

Got to the studio at 5, checked in, went to wardrobe, makeup, and hair...all of which took roughly FIVE fucking hours. You guys have no idea how long it takes to get into a kimono...there's two robes and like five-million sashes and belts that ALL have to be tied a certain way. And it's uncomfortable and hard to sit in.
Oh, and when I went to get my kimono from wardrobe, the stylist lady said she wanted me to be a geisha instead of an ordinary lady in a kimono like the other girls would be (yay!), so I got special makeup and a different hairstyle...still got the same dull brown kimono though. Oh well. I think only the stars were allowed to have special brightly colored kimonos.
So most of the day consisted of sitting around and waiting for other people to finish with their hair and makeup, and waiting for the stars to get ready, and waiting for the crew to finish preparing the set.
When everybody was finally ready, the crew started assigning roles to the extras. Most people were just supposed to sit and clap and cheer, but a couple of the girls (including me!) got to walk down the stairs after some of the main actresses and find a seat. So that was exciting; you might get to see me in the movie, but we'll have to wait about a year to find out.
Not much else to write about; the first day was seventeen hours long, and the second was only sixteen. "Only"...ha! But at least I made $300 in two days, and most of that time was spent waiting around. Haha, I fell asleep on the set a few times too, waiting for the camera and other crews to reset for the next take (they take a looooong time for some reason). Ooh, and I got to see real sumo wrestlers. They're HUGE in person. Also, I got to see some actors and actresses in person, including: Michelle Yeoh, Ken Watanabe, Koji Yakusho (from Shall We Dance!), Zhang Ziyi, Li Gong and Eugenia Yuan (never heard of them before Monday, but maybe some of you guys have).

So yeah, can't really think of anything else to write...but when I do, I'll be sure to put it in here. But I learned that sleep deprivation + long work hours = very tired Christina.
