So last night I went with a bunch of kids from my hall to the "underground dance party" hosted by the school. Sounded stupid, but we actually had a lot of fun. I enjoyed the "mocktails" (non-alcoholic drinks) they served; I got to taste a mai-tai and a pina colada....mmm.
And the school actually hired some cabaret entertainers for the dance too...

Raven
They danced, sang (lip-synched), told some jokes...Vanity was hilarious; she kept picking on this one guy in the front. After their first round of performances (they had to keep going back and changing for the next round), I called Jamaal because these girls were too awesome to miss. So glad he decided to show up, and just in time for the second round, too.
It was so cool....some of them even did celebrity impersonations: Raven did Ashlee Simpson (she looked better than the real thing), Bridgitte did Britney Spears, and Delta did Christina Aguilera. And at the end, all of them lip-synched to "Lady Marmalade" (the new version with Lil' Kim)...and Bridgitte came on stage last dressed as Missy Elliot with a box of cookies in her hand...that was fucking hilarious.
Those pictures above were taken from Vanity's and Raven's websites; I didn't have a camera with me last night, so I wasn't able to take pictures. But I know a bunch of people brought cameras to the dance...if I can get my claws on some pictures from last night, I'll post 'em.
Oh, and in case you still haven't figured it out, all those performers are men; last night's dance was a drag ball.
