On top of our freezer mishap, our answering machine has taken a big poop. Instead of playing our recording when someone calls the house it takes old messages friends/family have left us and plays that instead. My Mom got the best one of all! She called last week and was greeted with Scott's friend Eric saying "Here boy! Scott (whistle)! Here boy

I know! If it did not eat the messages I would leave it. But, I'm not that lucky.

A decent one, last time I checked, is in the range of $50-$100, and even if you buy the most expensive all-digital one, it's still cheaper than getting voicemail through your phone company and it will do everything that voicemail does.
