Glad you got it fixed with minimal fuss :-) (and tools are rarely where we want them to be when we need them)
Sorry you got the ticket as well, but if it's like the ones I've gotten for the tail light being out, it's an hour or so of repair said light, then go down to the Police station, prove it's fixed, and have the ticket voided. Annoying, but far better than the ticket.
And hoorah for good causes :-) Removing rights is *never* good. Prop 8 was a ridiculous bit of aggravation by idiots who think they know what's best for everyone. These are the same religious nuts that are quick to scream when someone makes a fuss about x-mas and non-denominational holiday celebrations, saying *their* rights are being trampled. *sigh*
