Since we have moved, Familiar has been getting thin patches of fur from over zealous grooming. We took her to the Vet yesterday, and she said it was one of two things. The first being allergies and she recommended some things to check that option. If those things didn't work then Familiar, in a nutshell, has OCD and would need the equivalent of

One of the suggestions was switching their food to a sensitive skin formula. That's supposed to help with the dry itchy skin. However our first foray to the pet store turned up only small bags that cost twice as much as the large bags of food we buy. Plus, our normal brand, Iams, didn't even have a sensitive skin formula. *sigh* have to do more research.
