Well, my head is pounding again for the third day in a row. I think it's probably a sinus headache with the way my head hurts right behind my eyes or between them

I get that kind all the time. Primary causes:
Sinus/Allergy - It's the right time of year for it, everything is just starting to bloom. Your best bet is to get Tylenol sinus and take it with regular tylenol (one of each, or two of each for a really nasty headach).
Migraine - Also happens to cause pain right there. In that case stress/nasty smells/high-low blood sugar are causing veins in the front of your head to constrict and dampen bloodflow to the brain. I get this one every few months, and it floors me. Only cure is prescription strength migrain meds when it first starts. But it usually fades and sometimes goes away entirely if I put a steaming hot washcloth on my forhead, or take a really hot shower.

I've never had a migraine, so I seriously doubts that's what it is.
As for allergies...blah. I've religiously taken my meds in the hopes I'd be okay for the spring/summer. *sigh* I didn't even think the pollen was high the last few days.
"Flushing" out one's sinuses seems to help even if it's a bit gnarly. Warm water, a teaspoon of salt(it may actually be a tablespoon but err on the side of caution), and one of those ear-wash bulbs (things that look like a mini turkey baster), are all you need. I'm not sure why cleaning up the sinuses behind your cheeks helps remove pressure from the ones in your forehead but it does. The ENT doc also suggested regularly using a salt-water mist(looks like Afrin but is just a salt-water mix, it's called Ocean something and you can get it at CVS,) to make sure the sinuses are not dried out. And Flonase seems to help where other allergy medications don't.

Hope that helps.
