This may show just how crazy I am. I am going to open a domestic animal sanctuary. This is going to be in my hometown of Hendersonville, NC. I will be with my family and have a career at the same time. I am taking a six-week course on grant writing and research. You just made my day, this is great news!
You know they're closing All Creatures Great and Small. I think they have until March of next year or so, but a home environment will be wonderfulo for the homeless animals around here!
You may want to check out AnimalPlanet.com. I was watching a thing the other day (can't remember the name of the program) where they help you set the shelter up and help with your funding.
Also, I'd love to help, so keep me in mind for volunteering.

My goodness I didn't know they were closing All Creatures. I thought the city was just going to make them move to a different location. Well, now I have even more motive. Thanks for the AnimalPlanet info! I will keep you up-dated...........
