Something for your Friday morning: What is your favorite song used in a NON-MUSICAL movie, that will just forever invoke that scene in the movie for you? Here's three of mine: Bowie's "Golden Years" (from "A Knight's Tale"), Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone" (opening scene of "Cars"), and Stealer's Wheel "Stuck in the Middle" ...(Reservoir Dogs).

"Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield - Pulp Fiction
"Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" by David Bowie - Cat People
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones - The Big Chill
Don't know why these are all older movies, but they were the first ones that came to mind :-) And the soundtrack intro to Burton's Alice in Wonderland, since it is currently stuck in my head.
How are you?

YES, Dusty Springfield!! Tarantino is a genius with his soundtracks. However, I have yet to see "Alice in Wonderland" :(

Tarantino is a genius, even though sometimes an irritating one, and Pulp Fiction is one of those movies I can see scene by scene in my head. I watched The Big Chill again recently, and it still hasn't lost it's magic - such a wonderful, crazy-sad film. And Cat People - Bowie's song says it all, a twisted, sensual, stunning piece of work.
I'm working too much, playing with my Grand Baby as much as possible, and writing fic for AiW ♥
