exquisitely crafted phrases - that phrase itself is an exquisitely crafted phrase. it sounds beautiful. i love sentences that sounds so pretty, phrases that roll off your tongue and just seem... perfect.
btvs - Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. i've watched S1 and half or so of S2. i've read spoilers for probably most of it. i like it a lot. i love willow, xander and giles. buffy herself is a bit meh imo. angel is hilariously moody and i love oz for however long he's there.
delerium - the band. they have weird trance-y music. i love silence [which they did with sarah mclachlan], remembrance and a few others. they sound hauntingly beautiful.

awwwww meddite love! :D
I just love the did ur mum one. I *snicker* everytime I see it. Makes me want to be Slytherin...somewhat...
How are you doing my darling? You know that if you ever EVER need to offload I'm a phone-call away. I'd like to think I'm still on ur "need someone to bitch to" list ;)
Heh. I felt like it was 'cheating', in a way, to ask about Tamora Pierce, because I'm a big fan (or was, anyhow, a few year back) of the Alanna books. Loved all the training stuff. I was always surpised Alanna ended up with, er... thingy, the thief. I was convinced, particularly after the naked-in-the-desert, confronting-the-Old-Ones thing, that she'd marry Jon. But it made sense - she'd never have been happy to be queen.
And that Doctor icon is v. adorable. The new series is really growing on me - are they on where you are? With Martha? Great fun - he's growing into the character. Hope he sticks around for at least one more series after this.
Yeah, I was rooting (erm, no pun intended) for the Alanna and hot prince material, but was happy when she married thief boy.
I haven't got the 2nd series of 10 yet, I'm hoping it's on soon...*crosses fingers*...but if it's only just aired on the BBC and in America then Oz prolly won't get it til next year. Figures. I love the David Tennant incarnation. He reminds me of Tom Baker. He's just so cute and *squeeable*!!
BEETHOVEN!! *pounces* Beethoven is only my favorite composer ever. I have all nine symphonies of his on my iPod. XD This semester in my chamber music class (for those of us done with theory), my friends Hamilton (viola) and Lia (bass) and I were assigned the first movement of String Trio in G Major, but Lia's teacher didn't like the bass transcription, so we didn't get to play it. :( I was so disappointed. I learned my part anyway, just because it was awesome and fun. Ooo, I want to try the icon/interest thingie! *jumps up and down*
That sux big time! Heh, I would have learnt the part as well! Why didn't your teacher like the transcription?
I bought all 9 symphonis (plus the overtures) done by Sir Georg Solti and the CSO. They're a really good set of recordings although I know by the end of it all I'm probably going to have a thousand and one different variations of them all! I listened to the recent recording that Sir Simon Rattle did as well, but he was just too fast and raucous for my liking - although I'm still hanging out for his recording of The Planets! :D
Okidays...
yellowcard, happy bunny, galacticus the destroyer/viola
and because I don't know how to post the icons here I'll describe them *facepalm*...do you know how to do that? I would be so grateful if you could enlighten me ;)

I'm not sure. I think it was the something about the guy who did the bass transcrption. Mr. Mazanec (the bass teacher) didn't like him for some reason, but I never found out why. I think he thought it was a little hard for Lia, though Dr. Chance obviously thought she could handle it since he assigned us the piece and Lia said she thought she could do it with some work, but whatever. It was a very irritating situation. I'm not positive which recording I have, but I believe it was done by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (which I find amusing, because I live in Birmingham, Alabama and this was done in Birmingham, England). Oh, I love the Planets as well! Like a lot of people, Mars and Jupiter are my favorites. :) I just post the icons like other pictures, with the <*img src="url here"> tag. There may be another way to do it, but this is the only way I know. 'Hope that helps!

Season 2 of the David Tennant Era is very good so far. We're about, oh, three episodes in, I think. Poor you for not getting it yet. :(
