Spiderman.
Not the spiderman from the movies who started out darker than he should've been after the black suit; but the spiderman from the comics and the cartoon shows --
the one who really really really wanted to show up early for that date with Mary Jane with flowers and everything, but just as he got to her block saw a crime and hesitating only a moment as he realized he was yet again blowing it with her, throws down the flowers tugs off the nice outfit he planned for the date and takes off to make witty reparte with the barely-6th-grade-educated thugs as he takes them down.
Smarter than the bad guys, hopeless romantic, and socially awkward... hmm, can't imagine why *I'd* /ever/ identify with him; can you?
