That was very heartfelt. Very...real. I'm not really sure what else to say, because I'm still kind of solemn this soon after reading it.

This is basically the greatest compliment you could have ever given me about this piece - or, really, anything I've written. But particularly for my NaNo attempts, I was really trying to get at things that seemed real - things that really displayed how people react to terrible situations, and how some choices are hard, but have to be made.

This particular piece really drew on my emotions, and my understanding of how relationships can define us, and how much we can take for granted in our everyday lives. I'm pleased that it managed to get some of that across.
