I'm happy because my room is clean, Tara isn't going to vancouver and leaving us, I'm going to europe, Dana exists, my kitty is healthy again, and vera seems back to normalish. I'm unhappy cause Daria doesn't exist on dvd, I had a horrible dream that Dave lived in my closet, and we can't take the pets with us to europe. Happy wins.

I wonder if it's possible to rent seasons of Daria. I hope so. Also, I'm back on livejournal cause when I went to open my paper journal yesterday a silverfish crawled out and over my hand and I threw the book across the room and haven't touched it since. Actual paper journals are nice, but computers don't get silverfish.

I've seen the movie maybe fifty times, but I still fall over every time Patrick Swayze growls "Nobody puts Baby in a corner."

So I spent all day yesterday cleaning my room, I took out a garbage bag full of garbage, another full of still usable junk, and half of one full of clothes. Everything is clean and bare and sparkly, and to be honest it's making me feel a little agoraphobic. I enjoyed having a dark lair for a room. ...today I found a glass pepper shaker full of pepper under one of the little plastic chairs in the kids' section at Munro's.

Fabulous birthday so far. I can't remember the last time I started a new year feeling so confident and happy in my own skin.

Don't fool with fools who'll turn away, keep all good company.

Today I love: cookbooks, coachella tickets, Vera being happy, london fogs, frogs, that Kitten is just the same, happy gossip, Batty, pajamas, slippers, turning people into poems, Jono, scarves, rain, and banana pancakes.

I spent this afternoon in the graveyard by myself in the pouring rain. It was the nicest afternoon I've spent this year. Easily.
