Oh. Beautiful. Hopefully it's not too melodramatic to say that I gasped with melancholy as I read this cookie, but it's true. I like this version of the afterlife, minus the usual shining white light and all, a great new adventure, as Dumbledore liked to say.

This is wonderful, and you make it look terribly easy and yet not - but it's a fantastic follow-up to the prompt... short, but impactful, I feel like if it was any longer, the effect would be lost, but maybe you'd be able to pull it off.
