You know, if we ever become IRL friends that I'd invite you over for dinner, because I love cooking for friends, and you live close enough that it would be convenient for you to wander over in time for dinner.

Food Rules isn't a recipe book, but it just has a lot of healthy eating principles. I just try to keep them in mind when I choose what to cook.

My go-to cookbooks are Braises and Stews by Tori Ritchie, The Basics by Filip Verheyden (which is a simply stated and well-illustrated book that has every cooking technique, and recipes for every basic classic sauce, stock, and and other basic cooking elements that you build more complex recipes off of), and The Flavor Bible by Karen Page and Andrew Dornenburg, which is more of an encyclopedia of flavors than a cookbook.

Oh, and I use a macrobiotic cookbook as well, occasionally, when I want to cook healing foods.
