“I can’t believe you talked me into this,” Hermione grumbled throwing the flimsy piece of silk onto the pile. “It’s not right - it’s not normal - If Harry and Ron knew what I was doing…”
Sirius covered her lips with a finger and wound the fingers of his free hand around her wrist. “We aren’t going to talk about that.” He drew her closer, his lips curling into a sinful grin. “Nobody gets to see this but me.”
Her cheeks flamed but at the same time her stomach flipped. She liked his possessive streak; it never failed to make her feel like the only woman in his life. And she knew that, at least right now, she was.
Above them the sun filtered through the trees making the lush grass beneath their feet sparkle. Birds sang up high in the branches oblivious to the couple below.
He leaned closer and brushed his lips over hers. “Do you want it know a secret?”
“I don’t think there is much more we can hide.”
He chuckled and stepped back and took a quick turn. “You are the only woman who has ever seen me this way.”
“Oh please, Sirius,” she scoffed and felt a little stung. “I may not have the experience you do with the opposite sex, but I am not some naïve fool.”
He looked shocked and affronted. “You think I’m lying?”
She shrugged and averted her gaze. She suddenly felt vary bare and why would he lie? She was already his and he knew it, didn’t he?
Looking up at him she shook her head. “No, I don’t think you’re lying. I’m sorry.”
“Look I know that I’ve had a past but it’s that past that made me into the man I am.” He took her hands and interlinked their fingers. “What I’m trying to say is that now I’m ready for something more, something real.”
She smiled up into his stormy grey eyes and squeezed his hands right back.
The two stood completely bare in the woods. After another moment Hermione stood higher on tiptoes and kissed his lips. “So what do we do now?”
