Bad parental unit for stealing kitties... even if you felt that you really shouldn't have picked him up in the first place. Hopefully she will take good care of him and bring him over to visit.

Cool about being set up for classes and yeah, orientation is typically a joke. I don't think I ever went to my orientation... well maybe I did in as far as talking to the chemistry department. I already knew more about the campus than the people that might have attempt to orient me :P Heck, my name was in the stone there! Ok... so it's not anymore... dang handicap ramp tearing up my piece of sidewalk...
