I'm kinda settled in. Sort of. After living in Buddy's basement for about a month, perhaps two, sleeping on the floor and generally being miserable, we've found our own apartment, and I'm enjoying it muchly. We've got a two bedroom townhouse, 1.5 bath, really nice place. Got some furniture. Not much, got a couch, and a kitchen table, and some ( Read more... )

Yay for the two of you finding a place :) And the furniture will come eventually. For right now, I suggest keeping an eye on yard sales. That or figure out the minimum that you need and see about picking it up cheap at the den of evil (Walmart).

Hmm... hopefully the cats will settle down soon. As for them tearing up the blinds, raise them high enough they aren't in easy reach and tie the string off so they can't play with it either. Perhaps get them one of those cardboard scratch pads to work on instead. My girls occasionally use it though not often I admit. Still... it is a possibility.

Hehe, you've been busy... and life often is boring. I mean consider me... I sit in an office most the bloody day :P

The den of evil it is. They've got alot of cheap nice things.

And the cats have been driving me completely batty. Buddy and I want to keep the cats out of windows completely really. We're living in a no pets unit. The landlord actually approved the cats, but we don't wanna have to deal with a bunch of crap, since he's not the only one from the office that deals with things out here. Speaking of the cats... Buddy's kitten has a really odd habit. She nurses at herself. o.O; Have you ever seen a cat do this? I'm betting that she was weaned too early, and she'll grow out of it, but still, it's weird to see.

Actually I have see that... and it is strange. Sometimes they do grow out of it. One thing you could potentially do about the cats in the windows and the self-nursing is the use of citrus type fluids. For the windowsills, Lemon scented cleaners like lemon pledge. For the cat itself, lemon juice concentrate potentially. Cats don't really like the smell of citrus that much so I have been told and will somewhat avoid those areas.
