Finals Week Stress Relief

Nothing is better than walking around the LRCS (Local Retail Craft Store - I just made that up) and making a few odd purchases. I've finally decided to purchase some ginormous hooks. I purchased an S-hook and a Q-hook. I plan on making the 5 1/2 Hour Throw in Lion Brand Suede, which I have renamed the
Fuzzy Caterpillar Throw. ( Read more... )

Good for you! I have made around 15 blankets with a Q-hook and it goes really fast!

Have you kept any of them? How easily do they pull? Is there any particular (free) pattern you recommend? :-)

I've kept some, and it all depends on which yarn I used. The ones made from Homespun didn't hold up as well as the Woolspun or the Light-n-Lofty ones.

The 5-and-1/2 Hour Afghan on the Lion Brand site is a nice one, and it really does go fast.

I'm not too pleased with how Homespun wears either. I'm hoping that the Lion Brand Suede is a good choice for the 5 1/2 Hour Afghan. Thanks for all the good feedback. :-)
