Today, I am being productive, pro-active, and pretty fearless (considering my usual level of anxiety, and especially around calling people

Ahhh, someone else who seems to have have trouble being an adult... We'll get there... at some point!! :P
"Maybe I can do this adult thing, after all." - The whole time I was readiong this post, I couldn't help but knotice the totally awesome and extremely 'Adult Like' userpic. It is made of awesome and win!!
I have this (probably slightly irrational) fear that eventually everyone will realise that my adult persona is just a mask, and I'm actually just a stupid, incompetent child.
Glad you like the pic :) It's the least adult-like one, so it seemed (in)appropriate :p
Monty's fine - constantly hyper though, which is a lot for us (and poor Ruby!) to handle. He's in that stage of trying to chew *everything* :/
Well done you :) Especially with the car situation, that would've totally thrown me! Being an adult is something I definitely have to work at. Specifically, being an adult *as and when required*.
As I felt the bump from the car, I was quite expecting myself to go into panic mode - but then I didn't.
It's sort of interesting to discover that other people struggle with the 'adult' concept too! It's probably crazy though, I mean, it's just our conception of what is 'adult' behaviour, and what isn't, and who is there to judge us.
As a wise man once said, "We're grown-ups now and it's our turn to decide what that means".
Yes, webcomic artists can be "wise men". I'm a grownup and I say so :P
I'm well thanks :) Tried to be in Canterbury today but failed because the car wouldn't start - otherwise had a good weekend, and am for once feeling rested! Wonder how long that'll last...
Hope to get to Canterbury soon - perhaps I could drop in and visit Monty you guys for a catch-up again?
Totally don't blame you! I was about halfway round before I realised just how insane it was, and by that point I was actually shaking and twitchy with people-phobia.
Thanks - I'm actually alright. A little stronger in myself too, I think! In some ways, I think I needed something like that to happen.
Next Wednesday is my day off, so would be perfect if you wanted to pop round :)
Sometimes I just want to bury my head in the sand, watch telly in my dressing gown and eat potato waffles. But I'm not a grubby 19 year old student, I'm an adult with responsibilities! :(
