What a lovely choice! I've had a soft spot for him forever and a day. I once saw him and Rebecca buying boy's razors in a city supermarket (a hundred years ago) but I was too shy to say hello.

And speaking of blasts from the past, check out this video. It's pure nineties (gosh, I have to admit I still love it, lol!) and keep watching until you get to the two shirtless boys singing backup vocals towards the end. *smirks*

Do you think you would have said hello if he wasn't with Rebecca? I feel like when celebs are with their family (especially kids), they should be off limits.

My first reaction was, why is she making me watch this video? ha ha... Simon always seems like he's having fun. Awww, I love him even more now. Thanks for sharing. :)

I don't think I would have said hello if he had been alone. Rebecca Rigg was also quite a well-known actress down here at that time, so it was doubly-nervewracking, lol! I'm very shy when it comes to celebrities - I tend to look the other way and get all flustered. *g*

If Simon or Went were standing in front of me, I'd be very shy as well. As much as I'd like to meet them, I think the myth that I've built up in my head would make the moment too overwhelming... lol.

Oh, he is delightful. I need to watch some of those things you referenced, I've somehow missed all of them. I'll definitely be tuning in to his new show in the fall.

P.S. I love Went in a beanie...

He is, isn't he? The Guardian for some reason isn't available on DVD (what's up CBS?). There are some eppies on YouTube, though.

I remember the first time we saw Went/Michael wearing a beanie. I think it was in The Old Head. So adorable.
