So I’m actually typing this up as the show is being telecast because I’m going on a vacation weekend upstate so I have to do the write-up quick or I won’t get this posted tomorrow (and good thing cuz I didn't get the images until an hour before I left). I may not be able to respond (my computer’s probably not coming with me). The designers are off ( Read more... )

I thought Fade's was the hands down winner. Everything about it was perfect IMO (style, fit, proportion, fabric choice/placement -- all no issues.) I liked Kini's as well but we've seen that hip thing a thousand times and something felt 'off' in the cut-outs at the waist, like maybe the proportion was off a little bit. And I gonna go against the crowd and say that I really LIKED Amanda's. I thought the two patterns worked together and well... what can I say? They used to call me "that hippie chick" for a reason.

Aside from Hernan, who was obviously the worst.. I really disliked Alexander's (top didn't fit properly, made his model look heavy), Samantha's (looked like a sack held together with giant safety pins) and Char's (top was completely overworked, bottom was too tight.)

Have fun on your vacation!

Yeah, now that you mention it, I could have done without the waist cut-outs. It was just too much on top of everything else. Fade's def should have won.

Yeah, the combo didn't work for me but really, it was that fringe that just tossed it into WTF territory.

Samantha's (looked like a sack held together with giant safety pins)

Ha! If it had been in color, I think that would have been more obvious.

I had a great time on the vacation! Went on a boat cruise, played mini golf and ate a lot of cheese-based stuff. It was great.

It does. Is that a challenge winner at a later point? I wish they'd had a pic of her standing still in it.

No idea. I must say, I crack up when someone mentions "taste level" and the camera pans to Heidi!

Yes, indeed! Oh, Heidi. So, so German. (I can say that cuz I'm half German and I totally kneejerk "ooooh, shiny!!!!" For anything. Jewelry. Cavalli crystals. Disco balls. Don't matter.)
