White hairs are an accepted sign of maturity. Studies show that people with some amount of gray are treated with more respect and serious attention. I suspect your joy in this comes from a fear that you are not taken seriously as an adult and some gray will change that for the better.

I feel that way. I like the white hairs. I don't care much for grey ones. Grey is dull. White is A Magical Streak.
