Honestly, I have educated myself, and I found your tone this morning on Twitter to be quite arrogant and dismissive. Maybe I took it the wrong way, because it's hard to really discuss anything in sets of 140 characters. But you're right. It is a touchy subject, and you shouldn't really post asking a question and bringing it up if you don't want anyone to answer if they possibly disagree with you

I'm dismissive because I know that I'm not going to change your mind. And yes, Twitter is a bad place for that kind of discussion, not to mention I was walking/navigating the bus. I fucking hate arguing with you and you've been in a hell of a mood. First you lecture me about my car like I am a child and now you're trying to have a go at me about this. I have... a paper and a speech I've written on the subject. Haha I don't mind talking with you about it, though I'd prefer to do it in private. The main thing is that I think people tend to associate standing up for immigrants to mean "I want illegals to get a free pass." That's not the case at all. I just think current immigration laws are unnecessarily obtuse and difficult to navigate unless you're in special circumstances. I would like that to change.
