I know, once again I was gone a while. Oy with that already, but I've been busy. But I had to comment about
Friday Night Lights
How much do I love Tim Riggins???? Gah, I KNEW something bad would happen, it's Tim, of course it would. The whole thing with Shelly cracked me up, so Tim. As was the cable thing. Of COURSE he would *accidentally* unscramble the porn channels, it's TIM! I adored him being big brother to Julie, that was completely made of win! But where the HELL IS BILLY???? That's pissing me off.
But Coach going after the Larrabee coach, absolutely hot! SO HOT! He pissed me off just as much last night as he did last season. Nice storytelling continuity, as well, by the writers, since Mud Bowl is the episode that began the Tyra was attacked storyline, this one, with the Larrabee team front and center again, ended it. Way to go show!
This might cover the last 2 episodes, I just watched The Confession on Thursday, so they kinda run together. I totally got where he was coming from, why he wanted to pay the price for having taken another man's life. Thought by paying for his *sin* he would get rid of the guilt that has been eating away at him. I've said all along it was manslaughter, at worst. He didn't murder anyone. I think the justifiable homicide was a good way to go, and totally believable. I'm glad they didn't go further than that. He didn't deserve to be sent to Huntsville for what he did. I did feel for him in the Tyra department, though I totally called why she would push him away. she's Tyra, and letting someone in, someone that really sees her, is very scary. Oh, and I LOVE Adrianne Palicki hair, sooooo much.
Matt & Carmelita are starting to skeeve me out. Though, I did love that she prompted a really good Matt/Smash moment. There have fortunately been more of those recently. However, I miss Matt & Landry's friendship. There's more to both of them than the person they're interested in. Oh, but I did LOVE the Grandma throwback to ITWSHS, too funny. I love her.
I still am madly in love with Santiago. LOVED his scenes with Buddy, especially in the car. And I was DYING when Buddy went to see Pam. I thought I couldn't hate her more, but I do, even though I get what she meant. I HATE HER!!!!@@! I just wanted someone to give him a hug when Lyla told him about Pam getting married again.
I did love seeing Jason move in with Herc. His parents drive me nuts. So annoying.
I loved this episode, probably because there was so much Taylorness.
Oh, btw, I LOVED Razor, so awesome. I also spent much of December watching Roswell which I very much enjoyed. I didn't like S2 as much, though not because of the dreaded Tess. I thought the show got too wacky sci-fi-ish. Which is rather amusing since I'm all about the wackadoodle sci-fi when it comes to shows like Farscape
Since there's almost no new tv anymore, boo hoo, I've decided to give Cashmere Mafia a shot. I like the cast, Miranda Otto, Frances O'Connor, Lucy Lui. Also, I think I'm going to try to catch up on Gossip Girl since several folks on the flist seem to absolutely love it.
Finally, don't let anyone ever try to convince you that Iowa won't be FREEEEEZING in January. Cause it is!
ETA ~ Oh, and I haven't seen Atonement yet. I think it might be the fact that I LOVE the book and am afraid the film won't live up to it.
