I highly suggest reading "snowcrash" if you get the chance, it's probably one of the best books I've ever read. Asside from it's religious overtones (it makes some very interesting arguments) it also envisions the concept of the internet incredibly well especially given that I was written years before the web came into existance in any sort of widespread manner. And it includes pizza deliveries for the mob :)

so what about the ones that are neither bold nor in italics?
don't read the "time traveler's wife"
I thought "catch-22" was not very interesting, so I didn't read it all. and you don't need to read the book to get the concept.
"life of pi" now, needs the kind of editing that was supposedly done to "the princess bride" because parts of it are simply amazing, while other parts are just ....
