Dear Yuletide writer,
Let me take a moment by saying THANK YOU for taking the time out of this busy holiday season to sit down and write a piece of fiction for me. I greatly appreciate it. I'll be honest here in saying that I wasn't too sure about what I was going to ask for this year, so if some of my requests seem vague or whatever I apologize. I promise that no matter what you write for me, I'll be happy. As always content and rating is up to you dear author, gen makes me just as happy as mature, pairings are great but they don't have to be the main focus of the fic, and if none of my ideas/questions/prompts work for you? Feel free to just go with whatever. Really, I will be happy no matter what you come up with.
I don't have many squicks; no scat/toilet play, heavy bdsm, or bestiality. See? Not many at all. I'm perfectly fine with non/dub-con, incest, tentacles, crack!fic, canon!fic, cliches, happy endings, not so happy endings, angst (well in moderation), unconventional pairings, crying over fiction, whatever floats your writing boat? I'll read it, and I'll love it.
Seriously, even if there aren't a lot of details written out, I adore each of these fandoms and will be bouncing around my room like a squirrel on crack come Christmas morning. Legit, Yuletide is my favorite time of year since it's actually the only time of the year that I write fanfiction and I get to squee along with friends about THE AWESOME FICTION THAT I GOT, and yes you'll definitely be added to that list author, know why? Cause you are great.
So here are my requests and details in the order of which I requested them.
1. Valentine's Day (2010) [Holden Wilson, Sean Jackson]
I would love a pre or post movie fic about their relationship. How hard was it on Holden with Sean being in the closet? How did that effect their relationship? Or if you go post movie, how did their relationship change once Sean came out to the public?
Honestly I'm fine with anything, I just want a peek into their lives. Also rating and content is up to the comfort level of the author.
Really author, I just loved these two in the movie and wanted a little more insight to their lives either pre or post movie. I would be lying if I didn't say that I didn't want some actual mature fiction with this one, but if that isn't your cup of tea or it doesn't flow well with the story it's completely fine with me.
2. Blade (Movie Series) [Hannibal King, Drake (Blade), Danica Talos, Asher Talos]
I love this movie series, seriously, and Hannibal is one of my favorite characters. In any event, I'm really not picky on what you do here, dear yuletide author. I do ask that if you go with a pairing that you stay away from Hannibal/Abigail, because to me they have more of a brother/sister dynamic than an actual couple.
I love the thought of getting a peek into Hannibal's life with Danica and Asher prior to being given the cure. I'd also be interested in seeing something transpire between Drake and Hannibal, perhaps as an AU or during the time that Hannibal was abducted.
Content and rating level is as always up to you.
I offer to write this fandom every year, so this year I thought that I would actually request something for myself. While I am a Hannibal fangirl, it does not mean that he has to be the center of the fic. Really, he can just be mentioned in passing and let one of the other characters take the spotlight. Heck, I'd love to see some Danica centric fiction, why she chose Hannibal at the bar that night, the relationship she has with Asher, the pseudo-relationship she had going with Drake or her life as a Catholic school girl who went to Woodstock. Really, author, I will be most content with whatever you write.
3. Fancy - Reba McEntire (song) [Mother (Fancy), Fancy - character]
I was so stoked to see this on the list. Out of all of Reba's songs this one has to be a favorite of mine. Pre or post song fic works perfectly for me. How did the mother come to sending her daughter away? Was she approached by a random man, did she contact people? Or if you go post song I'd love an insight to those first few years after Fancy was sent away, what she thought, felt, etc.
I seriously was stoked to see this. I remember the first time I saw the video to this song when I was young, and it was something that had always stuck with me. I love the story that it tells already, but I'm really interested in something post video if I'm being honest. I would absolutely love a peek into Fancy's life as a high-end prostitute, how she coped with it, hell even her out on one of her jobs would be ace.
4. Smokin' Aces (2006) [Richard Messner]
Really I have no idea what I want here, I'd honestly be happy with anything.
And it's true. I honestly have no idea what I would like here, but I will say that I wouldn't be opposed to some AU fic where Buddy Israel is still alive, conversations that he and Carruthers had while in the van, another random FBI adventure, or life after unplugging Buddy from life support. Really, I'm up for WHATEVER you come up with.
