After a year and a half at Notre Dame without seeing any ND Football players around on campus (at least, that I've recognized), I ran into Brady Quinn yesterday

Hi, I have to go create an account on this livejournal site. Wow a year and a half?? You must not be walking past the buildings where they take their classes;! But I understand what you mean about Jeff. I met him after the Stanford game. I would never have thought that would happen as there was quite the crowd and he almost did not walk over to go out the player gate -but he did. I was able to say hi and introduce myself. I got a photo of him but as I was working my way through the crowd - which was a blessing because I would never ask him. I hope you do get to meet him. He is one beautiful individual. I also got to meet Zibby who I admire just as much as Jeff. Very nice guys! Now you can always start attending the baseball games..come on Fall 2006! Rebecca

Ha ha, it's probably because I'm a grad student too, which means that I operate in different circles than most undergrads. :) How cool that you got to meet them both! I'm glad they're good guys. . . that makes me very happy.
Maybe I will attend a few baseball games. . . it's my husband's favorite sport, so it'll get me more involved in his interests, and if it just so happens that Jeff is pitching, well, so much the better! :)
(I came across this by accident - I swear I'm not a stalker or anything)
It's nice to hear of people who share my affection for the "Shark" Jeff Samardzija. I go to Michigan and not many people in Ann Arbor agree with me. It's also nice to hear that he's a nice person as well as a great athlete. I remember hearing about him his freshman year so I know I'll follow him in whatever sport he goes pro in because he is one of the few people who has to make that decision. I also hope to see a baseball game this spring, who knows, maybe against the Wolverines.
I'm done embarrassing myself now,
Cheryl
PS - Brady Quinn was the reason I fell in love with Notre Dame football. When I decided to go here, I had to give up my "Here Come the Irish" shirt purchased after seeing his picture in the USC-ND program my father got me (I'm really not that shallow - I swear - I just had to make my post go along with the topic).
As I told Karen I have to go get a live journal account!! That is how I came across this journal -by pure accident. And its a lovely journal. I am so fascinated by your studies Karen! I wish you all the best with them. I also plan to follow Jeff's career. It will be interesting to see where he goes with his options. I hope to make it out to ND to see him during baseball - if not it will have to wait until they come around my part of town (Los Angeles) for the USC game. Rebecca
