Close Friends...

First of all, it is RARE to have several close friends. Its normal to have lots of distant friends or people you see often. But to have REAL friends, thats just rare. Some people never find them! Its NOT very common to feel completely at ease with displaying your true self to lots of people. Also, having common interests with someone, I mean its nice to some extent, but it doesn't always count for much. I have some VERY good friends, that I love, and enjoy being around...but we have few common interests. Instead, we have a mutual understanding of one another and appreciation for our differences, and that somehow results in good, fun, close times. Plus, in the end, most people screw you over anyway. Real friends are rare, and at the end of the day common interests account for only so much. Just love and be loved, and stop looking for certain things in people. People can't make you happy, only you can.
