Toaster Logic

Why is it? This morning I turned the toaster down, and yet, it made my toast blacker the more i turned it down.

Why? I seek only for answers.

I think it's because the timer starts over every time you change the setting...doesn't it?

Unless the bread sees the toaster of some kind of element in breakfast holocaust and is conspiring against you.

I turned it down before i put the toast in, so i think the toaster has some conspiritorial leanings.....
