I'm glad you're feeling better! Meltdowns are no fun.

After maybe a month, it'll only take you ten minutes of brisk walking to get to campus. And probably only five when it rains. :)

Did you have this weird feeling after a couple of days that you had already been here forever and it was nearly time to go home?

Because that's what I'm feeling. It's REALLY weird.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. You're putting yourself through *a lot* of change very quickly. The internal and external shock is exhausting and makes time feel strange. Just make sure to take some time to breathe and be yourself. Wander around the city a little on your on, try to stay away from large groups of Americans because, as you've noticed, the energy there isn't great. When the weather was nice, I'd read in a park. Time will stretch back into its normal pace soon enough, but the semester will go by really fast, so make sure you stop and take things in.

Also, have you checked out the English Market yet? It's got lots of fresh meat and veggies and usually seemed cheaper than Tesco, and the quality was better. There's an entrance on Grand Parade. There are lots of stalls that sell all sorts of odd things.

I haven't yet, though everyone keeps telling me to.

I got another terrible bout of homesickness last night, and it's lasted into this morning. All I want to do is crawl back into bed and sleep until I get to go home.
