I have the strongest urge, ever since last night, to comment on the RP!S post with
"Transgender =/= transsexual".
YES IT'S SEMANTICS BUT THERE IS A CLEAR DIFFERENCE.
Transsexual is a precise term. Mainly it's used to describe someone who has undergone the surgery or is in the process of transitioning. Transgender is an umbrella term. It can be used for someone who doesn't have the surgery, who doesn't wish to transition, or even if they prefer the term.
Guess which one I use? It's because that one covers all my bases.
But I can't comment, because then I'll comment on everything and work myself up into a frenzy.
