I think exercising is an awesome way to get out of the emotional doldrums. Ever since I'd started dancing on a regular basis (not just club dancing, but actual performance work-outs) I'd been able to beat some pretty severe depression on my own. And looking good makes you feel good too :)
Not to be a bad influence on the drinking part, but I picked up some Patron XO Cafe (coffee tequila liqueur) that we really need to share ;)

It has done wonders in helping my own depression (which invades my psyche from time to time and gives me art-block).
