Apparently, it's part of the "A bit of Fry and Laurie" series, that I've unfortunately never been able to see. But, there's always YouTube and such to go to and look for more. :-D

Oh, Mr. Palmer... *sighs* I made my boyfriend watch the whole of S&S again with me not so long ago, just 'cause he couldn't remember who Mr. Palmer was.

Figure it's easy to lose track of side characters while sitting next to someone who goes OMG!Isn't-Alan-so-sexy-and-look-at-those-clothes-and-all-the-buttons-and-keep-quiet!now-he-speaks-in-that-velvety-voice-that-makes-me-want-to-jump-right-into-the-screen-somehow-and-make-him-forget-all-about-that-little-silly-girl-who-doesn't-understand-what-she's-just-turned-down-and-make-sure-he-forgets-about-it-over-and-over-again-'cause-you-just-can't-be-sure every 5th second, or so. *smiles smugly*

Oh God yes! That's almost my fav Mr. Palmer scene, with the baby, and what makes it so hilarious is that all the time Mrs. Palmer chatters on and on in the background about how good he is with children and how much he loves this kid etc. *lolz so hard!* And the look on Alan's face when Mr. Palmer holds the baby!

If I only knew how to make pics come up in comments like this, I'd put in that pic of Mr. Palmer holding the baby and Alan standing next to him going "Ehh.. yeah" with his facial expression (subtly, of course, as ever *OHGODILOVETHISMAN*)!

I think I once counted Mr. Palmer's lines in that film and come up with something like, 5-10 (that is, I count responses, not individual sentences) and I think he says something nice in at most 2 of them. And everyone was taken by surprise when Hugh Laurie went sexy, snarky doctor in "House"...?!? They can not have seen S&S, that's for sure. :-D
