Really, am I the only one who checks their Flist at least daily during the week? Am I the only one who leaves a comment where they can and where they seem to find neccesary?

Heh, but you know what the occasion is about, which is nearly as good as having been there. If I don't forget and can actually get some lilac, I might even wear it this year.

How do they Rise Up is altijd zo'n passage waarbij is zit te sniffelen. Night Watch is zeker mijn no.1 Pratchett boek, komt door Samuel Vimes denk ik :)

Het is altijd zo moeilijk om uit te leggen waarom Night Watch nou zo goed is, zeker aan mensen die nog nooit een Discworld boek hebben uitgelezen (i.e. iedereen die ik in real life ken)!

Vimes = guh nuhhhr and I can't even begin to say what. En young Havelock? Doe maar op een bordje met een strikje eromheen.

And the lilac thing's vaguely coming back to me now - I've read Night Watch, but only once. It didn't really grab me in the way other Vimes/Ankh-Morpork books did. (Not enough Young Vetinari for a start.)

But it is a nice picture.

Aww, that comment was more directed to the people on LJ whom I happen to know in real life, but who hardly ever seem to comment...

Anyway, I adore Night Watch, but I s'pose that's a matter of personal taste. There's just enough Young Vetinari for me to keep wanting to know more, every time I read the book...
