Yes, simple mechanics, really - but more challenging to make him realistic.

Well, I'm familiar will all manner of mechanics and engineering. I just started with the dog as it's something that could be useful to the public at large. I've noted that not all people like biological companions, these could be a... replacement of sorts, I suppose.

Well, that and I have a canine companion of my own.

I'd love to test him out, if you wouldn't be opposed to the idea. I have an affinity for all things mechanical, and he looks absolutely beautiful. I'm not along all the time, but surely enough to test how he affects the ticking.
