Temps & Sparky & Bears! Oh My!
It's kind of dusty here in my LJ so I thought I should visit. ha! It's a balmy -6 here in Iowa tonight. Is it March yet?
I'm up too late as usual, but I'm winding down from watching the Super Bowl with my family. Yes, our team went down in defeat. *sigh* So now I'm waiting for spring training and the Cubs. Which led to a realization about Sparky.
Cub fans start every season believing this could be the year. And even when it becomes apparent it isn't going to happen that year, they still pack Wrigley Field. Why? They love the team, no matter what. It reminded me of the J/E shippers. We've had our ups and downs lately, actually a lot of downs. But we've bounced back because we have faith in this ship. We love it, no matter what. And no one can take that away from us.
