Likewise for Obidala. I've seen many people complain that there should've been a love triangle between Anakin and Obi Wan with Padmé as the hypotenuse, but I'm glad Lucas didn't go that predictable way. Besides which, Anakin may have been a child in TPM, but so was Padmé. They both had to grow up before a romance was feasible.
A/P definitely gets the shaft compared to Han/Leia, but then, Han is played by Harrison Ford, who's a superstar in his own right. Also, H/L have the love/hate bantering relationship, which is crowd-pleasing. A/P have the awkward, tragic relationship, which is less so.
