I know. No squid. Hm... I... sort of understand the decision, I guess, but my inner geek still would have wanted to see the book ending. Still, everything else seems to be really faithful to the material, and Dave Gibbons seems to like the movie. I trust Dave Gibbons. *nods*

Yep, he's the only casting and costume choice that I'm not completely sure of (well, there's also the new Nite Owl costume, but Patrick makes an awesome Dan, so whatever), but I do adore Matthew a lot and he's awesome, so I'm hoping for the best. :)

Yeah, the thing (don't wanna spoil anyone 'round here, I mean that's a HUGE fucking spoiler, innit? ;)) is kind of a massive metaphor but I think it transported the meaning perfectly. Still, it might not work for an idiot average moviegoer.

Ozy should be more.. hunky, I guess? More.. statuesque.. if that's even a word. So, it's really not about the acting, just a question of physique..

And Nite Owl.. yup, the Batman resemblance is a bit.. uhm disturbing..? Also, kinda confusing for the ones who don't know the GN, I guess?

Exactly, I'm also not completely sure about those two, but I adore Matthew, and as far as I've seen, Patrick really makes an awesome Dan, so I'm still quite happy with all of it.
