The first weekend of this month was Next Wekk Tekko, and the Monday following it was the first time in a week or more that I got more than three and a half hours of sleep in a given 24 hour period. Since then, I haven't been able to sit down and focus on anything for more than an hour without completely passing out, and I've fallen asleep at the

ALSO: SOUL EATEERRRRRR <3 I am working on a boy!Maka cosplay, and Erin is going to be my girl!Soul. Uhhh you should join us although if you were tempted by sensible shoes I fear you were already thinking of cosplaying Maka hmmm. But! If you gender-bend a character to go with us, you could probably still end up with comfy clothes.
I also REALLY want to cosplay Death the Kid (normally, not femme) but boy!Maka is happening first.
ALSO: ))))))): to sickness and bad health.

I haven't seen much of anything yet, and I'd rather make sure I actually like it before I decide to actually cosplay anything, but I really don't think I'd want to do a genderbent costume for a series that, y'know, actually has female characters (with adorable plaid skirts and ties).
I am drinking so much ginger-peppermint tea today. :C

Yeah, I don't really know WHY I want to cosplay boy!Maka. But the idea stuck. So... yeah, I don't know. And boy!Maka simply can't exist without girl!Soul, hence roping Erin into my scheme. (Maka is the girl with the plaid skirt and the tie, btw. I wasn't sure if you knew that.)
I HOPE THE TEA IS HELPING!

Yes, I figured that's who Maka was...and I will admit the idea of making a long black duster sort of appeals to me largely so I can give it really really deep pockets and not have to drag a huge purse around with me. And the rest of the outfit I could just buy, and not feel like I was wasting money because it's stuff I'd actually wear for not-cosplay! But I'm getting ahead of myself and should really watch the series first, because for all I know my favorite character might end up being a boy and I'd rather just crossplay but girls with ties!.
THE TEA IS AT LEAST MAKING ME LESS INCLINED TO HURL ALL OVER MYSELF.
...also, I feel I would be remiss in not pointing out that a character in Homestuck is a girl with OCD who plays the violin.

It's not a pleasant disease. My mother's on tons of blood-pressure medication, and had to have reconstructive surgery to put her eyes mostly back into the sockets. It's not a good time by any means.
