Oh Lord, my poor bank account!

I just made the mistake to have a look at harmanhay’s website just for  shits ’n’ giggles… and discovered her new 1909 Collection, to be more specific the skirts. Exactly what I have been looking for for years! An Adele skirt in heavy grey wool would be absolute class…

I've been lusting after these skirts as well, but so far have managed to resist...

...mainly because I am waiting for a rather special outfit being made at the moment which I still have to pay the balance for when it's finished ;-)

Heh I don't go out much these days so I can't justify making huge expenses for stuff I won't be wearing. The skirts look like something I'd wear out on a regular base though.

True. Although in my experience proper floor length Edwardian skirts can be rather infuriatingly impractical in everyday live, as you tend to always need a free hand to get the skirt put of the way when going up stairs and people also tend to step on the back even if it hasn't a real train. Escalators are especially fun!

I suppose you could go for ankle length, but I think this always detracts from the look.

Heh people are used to me "sweeping the floor" with my other full length skirts, but I really have to watch out for stairs!
