Thanks to  epilady for pointing out the epic fail LJ has been up to recently. Their half-arsed attempt to fix the situation only shows they do not (want to) understand the core problem.
People who used LJ do it because they enjoyed the privacy they could have an account completely separate from their "public" accounts.

It's a pity that Dreamwidth is still such a comparably quiet place (esp. th communities) as it really seems to be LJ done right. Maybe the influx of refugees will help a bit.
