Somarium, I've missed you. And will keep missing you.

I think I'll hold off on reapping Harley to Somarium for now.

It isn't that I don't want to go back to having fun with all the wonderful muns there, or that I don't treasure all the CR I've built up with him. In fact, those are two of the main reasons I was so set on returning, now that I have 'net access and free time again.

I went over my app, and got to thinking, and realized a few things about Som... )

I agree with this one. I joined Som back when it was a happy-go-lucky sandbox and there weren't all that many guidelines set. Then the moon cycles and all the disaster events and it was like I couldn't keep up anymore. The game started to stress me out more often than not and I was hardly active as it was. I guess I'm more of a DR type person all in all but, the game seems a bit too different from what it was when I joined, and despite wanting to go back I don't really think I ever will.

The keeping-up part is another issue I have. I'm a chronic slowtagger who tends to write epically TL;DR tags when I really get into it, but they can sometimes take a day or two or more to get posted. (I've played Serph in the smtdressingroom, and I've had five big paragraphs of actions and descriptions, only for him to say either "..." like the Silent Protag char he is, or as much as like, three to five words. It amused me so much. XD) Between RL business and my slowtagging, it's like by the time I tie up threads from one event, it's time for another, and then I seldom got to get back around to what I really wanted to do.

I guess a better place for me, at least for now, would be a musebox, a DR, AIM, somewhere cracky/fluffy that doesn't mind slowness, or else somewhere I at least know is going to be darker ahead of time, so I can prepare accordingly. Harley's good for being happy, being cracky, being confused and lost and once in a while scared out of his mind or something, but not constantly. I'm considering apping Serph somewhere more ( ... )

I haven't been anywhere lately. I just haven't had the drive, you know? I really do want to get back into RP. It was fun and you get to meet all kinds of people but, I just haven't found that character I really click with yet. I'm picky, I suppose.

You ever rp over AIM?

I have more than enough chars for you to tell me what kind you'd like to play off, and I can try finding one that fits the bill, if you'd like to test out chars until you find one that does click for you?

Nothing wrong with drive-by rp in aim, and plot bunnies that last only a session or two. (Or longer, if they end up that way? You never know.) I find it to be a good way to get back into the groove of playing a char, myself, since it's not an LJ game, it's a private fun thing that you'd have a lot more control over, what with it just being two people.

It's an idea. :)

*waves arms* I'm here! I like no-rules, no-string, whatever-you-want play! I miss Harley!

I haven't seen you in over a month. And now that the wedding and honeymoon are over (got back on Sunday), I am crazy itching to get back to playing. Any chance I'll get to see you online at some point?
