new hairs!
went over to stonestown today to have lis rebleach the roots and trim the bangs shorter. i really like the end result. she even blow-dried my hair and was shocked when i actually left the salon sans clips in my hair. i think it looks purdy nice! i also treated myself to the high-waisted skirt in the topmost picture. it's cute and flattering. after that, i picked up a few things for sean's easter basket (including a godiva chickie and a godiva flower on a stick!) and picked up some cute little bunny ears and cotton tail at claire's to surprise him with tomorrow. ;P we might get lolly tomorrow, which would rule. i am DYING to meet her... she's part dachshund, part beagle! he messaged his ex-roomie about it today so we'll see.
i was supposed to go out to oakland for james' going-away party but when i called lisa around 7:30 to tell i was heading out to oaktown, she told me i was running too late, and that the party was ending early, so i told her it was best for her to go on without me. with the impossible logistics of somehow sneaking a damn easter basket into sean's tonight, i told him i felt like staying home and relaxing. so this is what i'm doing. i'll go to bed early so i can wake up nice and early and make my way to his place so we can have the whole day together. we can lazy around in bed for a bit before going to fetch lolly. :) however... if he can't get a hold of the roomie and we can't get lolly, we're gonna go meet up with lis and jason at a bar in le meeshon.
last night, sean and i went to BevMo and i took advantage of their "buy one bottle of wine, get another of the same for 5 cents" deal, which is AMAZING. i picked up a pinot noir called Stanza -- not bad! i also picked up a bottle of Artesa, which is a wine we used to sell at City Cellar which i used to be real keen on. aside from the fact that they have amazing prices, they also have like EVERY BEER IN THE DAMN WORLD. literally. AND... sorted by countries! we hit the belgian section and i got a beer with a little gnome dude on it. we also picked up these german beers, which according to BevMo is "the best beer in the world." it was DAMN GOOD. i let sean have mine since i had plenty of wine and he'd exhausted his beer resources. later on, sara and jason met up with us and we ended up going to some bar in chinatown that had an electronic music party going on in the basement. we got there late but the music was really good and the drinks were relatively cheap. tall kevin from work was there with his girlfriend. his girlfriend is GREAT and i spent most of the night chatting with her. she works for sanrio and she started asking me all these "as a consumer..." questions. i felt like i was being surveyed, but it was great to be able to tell someone at sanrio "ENOUGH WITH THE GOD DAMN HELLO KITTY AND BADTZ MARU -- MORE DEERY LOU."
this sleepy saturday night alone is just what the doctor ordered. with Go Hawaii playing, it's PERFECT.
