Dear Yuletide Author,

Thank you so much for writing for me! This is my very first time participating, and I'm really excited to see what stories come out of this challenge.

I've made public all of my posts about Yuletide in the past, so that you can get an idea of what kind of stories I like and why.

My Requests )

Ooh, Bunhead Girls at Hogwarts could be awesome. We never talked about the last episode...
And yes, so Sad it got cancelled.

Also, it's interesting - I think one of the major reasons I enjoy both Bunheads and LBD so much is their portrayal of positive and complex relationships between women and girls. Yes, romance is all quite nice, but what made the LBD really work was the buildup of Charlotte and Jane and Lydia as 3-dimensional characters in their own right. (sniffle - Snickerdoodles...) It's always striking to me just how _relaxing_ I find media in which women are portrayed as human beings who have complex relationships with other human beings.

Speaking of which, get your act together, SHIELD - still barely passing the Bechdel Test, and All of the big emotional conversations happen cross-gender.

sniffle. I keep going back to Amazon Prime to see if there are more episodes of Bunheads that I missed somehow! But no, none have magically appeared :( I'd love to talk to you more about it sometime!

Still haven't seen the latest SHIELD, but the first two, I agree. It does pass the Bechdel test, but only barely.

Possibly my favorite thing about LBD was the Lydia/Mary relationship. I thought that was nifty.

Your general fic preferences are basically the same as mine, which is further proof of your awesomeness. ;) The best fics I've read are the ones that read like the original, though they are often the toughest to write.

Awww, thanks! I will view the similarity as proof of your awesomeness too :)

And, yes, they are super-hard to write. I feel like I'm setting my own bar pretty high to tell my prospective author that!
