The Good He does not have celiac. This is very good because I don't know how I would cut all wheat from our already limited diet.
The Very Good He is not having allergic reactions in his gut. (This was the "eczema of the gut" that I mentioned earlier.) This is very good news and makes me very happy because I was afraid of that.

With the vitamin issues, talk to a dentist too. It took a while before someone thought to tell me about that. It can do serious damage in short order if it's the right combination of things.
I'm glad there's a tool already established for helping with the vitamins! It doesn't matter why someone invented the drug, as long as it works. One of my best Crohn's meds was developed for high cholesterol :) .
Can you see a different allergist? Or, even just tell the nurse that you want him/her to relay that concern to the doctor. He may have been focused on the more statistically likely thing (whatever that may be) and not meaning to give you the brushed-off feeling.
Are you keeping a journal? I know it's a pain in the ass, but it really helps doctors believe the trends you're seeing.
Love you.

Good to know about the dentist.
I'm a little scared to try the vitamins because they have a super-high dose of beta carotene and I don't know if he's reacting to orange veggies or if he's reacting to something he has every day and it just seems like orange veggies because it's fall and fall makes me want sweet potatoes and pumpkin doughnuts. =)
I'm giving serious consideration to changing allergists. My friend has one she loves and is pediatriac certified, he's just an hour away. I dunno. He makes me feel dumb which makes me flustered which makes me sound dumb and just doesn't seem to make for good communication.
I am. I write down the date, the symptoms and what I suspect caused it. Also, I keep track of when I change his milk and what not. It makes me feel more organized that I can look back and see, yes this is happening as often as I think it is or how long he was on coconut before it started causing problems.

Really it's a matter of timing as he has an appointment next week.
I think I'm going to put Rusty on the job as he is much better at dealing with that than I am.
