*nods* I agree 100%. People need to get to know the Gods and listen to what They want, how They want to be worshipped. Otherwise pagans and recons risk falling into the same traps that turned the Christian Churches into a mockery of Jesus' real words.
I was shaking my head in disbelief over all of that. I'm a (probably white, partly Native, mostly european) American. The first two gods to call me were Egyptian. I am also a member at nonfluffypagans and just read your aforementioned rant in extended, Pagan-targeted form there. Although by-and-large I respect a lot of people's opinions in that community, I really am disgusted by the apparent tendancy of a bunch of well taught, intelligent people to resort to silly name calling flame-wars, so I was sorry to see that happen to you for expressing an opinion. Incidentally they flamed the hell out of me too, for being "elitist" and "crusading," apparently. Things are prone to misinterpretation over the Internet, which is the purpose of this comment. I'm curious about your argument, and would appreciate understanding you better before I pass judgement on you as a "prick" or an "idiot" as others seem more than ready to do. You seem to have passion behind your idea, and for some, passion counts for something. So would you mind explaining this rant further?

It just comes down to the way the spirit moves in the human experience. Unexplainable things happen, and the human capacity for creativity is endless. Change is inevitable in life as well.
Worship of the Gods cannot be static. It cannot be limited. The life of the spirit is supposed to be FREEING, not limiting.
